In the module, I have been exploring how to create digital products that successfully communicate content to a user base. In this project I will create a digital product which educates a target audience between 10 years of age to university students about the Sustainable Development Goals. This digital project should include:
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. Every year, the UN Secretary General presents an annual SDG Progress report, which is developed in cooperation with the UN System, and based on the global indicator framework and data produced by national statistical systems and information collected at the regional level.

SDG’s focus on improving areas including our environment and local communities

Goal 12, 13 and 14 seek to reduce plastic waste in areas like the Pacific Garbage Patch (above)
At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests. I have included the 17 SDGs summarised in the table below and highlight how they are symbolised visually.

(above) The 17 Sustainable Development Goals
While there are 17 SDG goals, I have decided to focus on five of the above which will feature in more depth within my final outcome to highlight how the product informs the user. This research will provide a greater understanding of the relevant imagery, themes, issues and projects associated with each goal.
Goal 3 : Good Health and Wellbeing
Goal 11 : Sustainable Cities and Communities
